why you need your lecturers......

Relationship circle
                  (Episode one)
                          Why you need your lecturers……..
I will be focusing on the relationship between the lecturers and the students, involving a setting in the university grade which I have found to be extremely important for the student to gain a positive attitude for their future.
Is unfortunate that students see and perceive their lecturers differently than the expected way. Base on my search so far on this issue, it clearly demonstrates that student’s interpersonal interactions with peers and lecturers have the greatest impact on the changes in their aspiration, value, attitude, belief and actions.  ‘The norms, value, attitudes and ethics that lecturers imparts to students, ether formally or informally are the foundation of the social capital, the very bedrock of good governance and democratic political system’ (world Bank)
A positive relationship between the lecturer and the students is difficult to establish, but can be found for both individuals at either end. The qualities for a positive relationship can vary to set a learning experience approachable and inviting the students to learn. A lecturer and student who have the qualities of good communications, respect in a classroom, and show interest in teaching from the point of view of the teacher and learning from a student will establish a positive relationship in the classroom.
For learning skills and functional behavior to be acquired, the students must perceive their lecturers as confident, meaningful and relevant to them. This is because when there is appropriate lecturer student relationship that facilitates both formal and informal interactions, the university lecturer would transmit more than the knowledge and skill of his or her discipline. In such environment, the student is assisted to develop those qualities that go with good learning skills and leadership. Actually, lecturer student contact in and out of the classroom is very important in student motivation and involvement in all facets of life. This is perhaps due to the students’ identification with lecturers as role model, which has been acknowledged as vital to the acquisition of good learning skill and functional behavior.

The relationship that lecturers develop with their students have an important role in student’s academic growth. This type of relationship between lecturer and students can greatly influence the student’s academic performances. Strong lecturer student relationships may be one of the most important environmental factors in changing a student’s educational path

Lecturer student relationship shape students' moral development in another sense through their influence on students' emotional development. Most of the talk about moral development in school assumes that lecturers are the best to teach students how to behave morally by instilling in them virtues and standards, a clear sense of right and wrong.
Let see our lectures differently, they are our friends.
